Being a BIG cousin has it's moments!

Andrew can not help it! His baby cousins, Bella, 4 and Maggie,2 just adore him and want to be with him most of the time. He really is good with them... I watched him while he would interact with Bella and Maggie and it was so precious. He changes Maggie's diapers and makes sure she eats her dinner. He plays with Bella and helps her with her letters and goes outside to play on the Slip n' Slide with her. He makes them laugh and it is so great to hear the girls giggling at Andrew's silliness. He really has a way with them and the love between these 3 cousins warms my heart. My son has such a loving spirit about him... I am so proud of his depth!

Maggie wanted Andrew to get in her little pool with her and she did not have to ask twice... before I knew it, he was in the pool with her... this 6ft. 17 year old was splashing around with Maggie. She was so tickled by having "Anda" in the pool with her.

Andrew and Bella at the Yard House~ Bella was sitting across from Andrew eating her cheese pizza contently until Maggie got out of her high chair and started bothering Bella. Andrew asked Bella if she wanted to come sit by him and she crawled over and was so happy that Andrew was looking out for her.

Andrew and Bella eating their delicious food for the 4th of July which is Bella's Family Day. She wanted to set by Andrew and he helped her with putting ketchup on her hot dog. She was so thrilled that Andrew was sitting next to her.

Bella fell asleep on Andrew... she was sitting with him and just fell asleep! They laid there for a long time until Tia Lisa picked her up and put her to bed. You are a kind big cousin Andrew!

Summer basketball camp in Denver!

Andrew's life is basketball! St. Michael's High School where Andrew goes to school, is not only an excellent academic institution, but St. Mike's has a strong athletic program. Andrew is very involved with basketball at St. Mikes and the month of June with filled with camps every weekend throughout New Mexico and Colorado. I went to many of the camps and have decided I do not want to see another bleacher for the rest of the summer!

One of the favorite basketball camps the boys attended was in Denver, CO. I decided to go that weekend and I am so glad I did! I watched the boys play 9 games in 3 days and I cheered (loudly of course)! I just could not believe how much my son has improved! He is hoping to be on Varsity this year and the team and coaches have their eyes set on a good season and maybe another State Championship Title.

We are home for the 4th!!

Andrew and I made it home for the 4th and we could not be happier...Andrew and I miss our family so much and seeing Lisa and the girls at the airport was so wonderful! We all hugged and made a scene at the airport! Lot's of hugs, kisses and tears of joy!

We celebrated FAMILY DAY in honor of Bella... Andrew and I can't believe Bella has been in our family for four years now! She is such a blessing and we could not imagine life without our spirited Bella! She is truly a special little girl.

We had so much fun on the 4th. We were with our loving family and good friends. Andrew grilled and helped his little cousins light their sparklers. You could feel the love all over the place! Little Maggie got into the groove of Sparklers. She was frightened at first, but after Tia showed her, she took one in her hand and smiled. Maggie girl, you are such a delight!

Look who's blogging?!

My Andrew is 17 and is a senior in high school this coming year (I quiver at the thought)! I was inspired by my sister Lisa to create a blog for Andrew. Andrew has a lot going on this coming year and I want to be able to share with family and friends his special moments and events (minus irrational episodes... I will keep those special for me) of his senior year. I just can't believe my little 6ft. child is 17 and planning for ACT's, SAT's and colleges he would like to attend. Where does the time go?! My son is my world and I want to share his most exciting time in high school with all of you. I hope you check in every once in awhile and enjoy his "senior moments" and my survival of it all...
